🎮 How to Play the Game

🕹️ Controls

You can move tiles in four directions:

  • ⬆ Up Arrow (or swipe up)
  • ⬇ Down Arrow (or swipe down)
  • ⬅ Left Arrow (or swipe left)
  • ➡ Right Arrow (or swipe right)

Each move slides all tiles as far as possible in that direction.

🔢 How Tiles Combine

  • When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into a new tile.
  • Example:
    2 + 2 → 4
    4 + 4 → 8
    8 + 8 → 16
  • Every merge increases your score, and the value of the merge is added to your total points.

After every move, a new tile (2 or 4) appears on the board.

💀 Game Over Condition

The game ends when:

  • The board is completely full
    and
  • No tiles can merge in any direction

At that point, no further moves are possible.💀 Game Over Condition

🏆 How to Win

To win, you must create the 2048 tile.
But the game doesn’t stop there — you can continue playing to reach even higher tiles like 4096, 8192, or more.

💡 Tips & Strategies to Play Better

Here are some helpful strategies to increase your chances of winning:

⭐ 1. Keep Your Highest Tile in a Corner

Choose a corner (usually bottom-left or bottom-right) and always try to build your largest tile there.

⭐ 2. Avoid Moving Up (or Your Weak Direction)

Pick one direction to avoid unless absolutely necessary.
This prevents accidentally breaking your tile structure.

⭐ 3. Build Long Chains

Try to structure your numbers in descending order toward your corner.
This makes merges easier and cleaner.

⭐ 4. Think Ahead

Don’t swipe randomly — consider where the new tile might spawn and how the board will shift.
